Pennsylvania Adds 437 New Cases Of COVID-19

HARRISBURG Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) The Pennsylvania State Health Department released the daily Coronavirus numbers for May, 25 and they added 437 probable or confirmed cases.

The total number of probable or confirmed cases in the state now reach 68,186.

The Department also added 15 deaths, bringing the total count to 5,139.

There is a 61% recovery rate within the state of Pennsylvania and the Department describes a recovered case as If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.

Of the total cases across the state, 14,690 have come from residents in nursing or personal care homes, while 2,471 come from employees of the homes.

3,379 of the total deaths have come from the same homes.

There have been confirmed cases and deaths from 594 in 44 counties.

5,140 of the total cases are accounted for health care workers.
