PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Local charity “Move A Mountain Missions” is raising money to provide meals for the homeless while helping keep restaurants in business.

Dan Gallagher with “Move A Mountain” tells KDKA Radio, 200 meals from Mullaney’s Harp and Fiddle will be delivered on Thursday and another 200 will be provided by Pino’s Italian Restaurant in Point Breeze next Wednesday.

“The Red Door which is at Divine Mercy Church has been serving meals to the homeless 365 days a year for the past 90 years” said Gallagher. “With the Corona Virus they have been doing over 200 meals per day. So many people want to support local restaurants so we are just trying to bring these two needs together.”

The meals will feed those in need and will keep the restaurants busy.

“We are buying the meals for $2000 from the Harp and Pino's so we are giving them some business during a time when it’s hard to come by and providing a need to feed the homeless,” said Gallagher.

You can help by donating $10 to the Matthew 25:40 Campaign that will feed someone and help another keep their job.
