Allegheny County Under A Flash Flood Warning

Severe Thunderstorm warning in effect for Westmoreland and Fayette Counties

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Allegheny County in effect until 3:15 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Radar has detected heavy rain in the area.

Up to two inches of rain could fall with an additional inch possible.

Some of the areas that could be hit hardest are Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Shaler, Fox Chapel, Etna, Gibsonia and Blawnox.

Allegheny is also under a Thunderstorm Warning till 2:00 p.m.

A Thunderstorm Warning has also been issued for Westmoreland and Fayette Counties until 2:10 p.m. Monday
