PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A plea deal may be in the works for two parents from Aliquippa accused of waterboarding their 12-year-old daughter.

At a preliminary hearing this morning for Malisa and Dion Stevens, a plea deal was offered that would place them on probation for five to seven years in exchange for a guilty plea.

The child told police in November her parents tilted her back in a chair with her hands bound together, put a wet towel in her mouth and dumped a bucket of cold water over her face as punishment.

The deal would also also allow the family to reunite under supervision.
