Protests Continue Downtown For Fourth Straight Day

For the fourth day in a row, groups of people have gathered downtown Pittsburgh to protest the death of George Floyd.

Protesters started at Market Square, worked their way to the Allegheny County Jail where they sat for about an hour, then moved to the 10th Street Bridge to the South Side and East Carson Street.

East Carson Street has been closed.

After a short time, the crowd has turned around and is heading back over the 10th Street Bridge towards downtown.

Pittsburgh Public Safety has been tweeting updates of the crowd movement and the road closures that have followed.

Public Safety has also noted that the protests have remained peaceful.

The protests have madde their way back to Market Square, where they began earier today.

Remaining peaceful, no issues have been reported.
