NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A brawl at a nail salon in New York has protesters demanding for the shop to be shut down.

Protestors first surrounded New Red Apple Nails in Brooklyn on Sunday, chanting “Black Dollars Matter. Nearly 150 demonstrators also trapped employees inside another salon, Beautiful Red Apple Nails, prompting police to intervene and close the store.

Protesters were heard screaming “where is ICE?” and “no nails, no toes, these racist shops have got to go.”

The demonstrations were sparked after a graphic video posted on Facebook by an unnamed witness allegedly showed Huiye Zheng, a 32-year-old employee, attacking 21-year-old customer Christina Thomas with a broom after she reportedly didn't want to pay for a $5 eyebrow wax that she was unhappy with.

“We mean business and we’re gonna do what we need to. If we need to be out there every day until they close, then we’ll do just that,” said Rev. Kevin McCall of the National Action Network.
