The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority issued a flush and boil water advisory for approximately 2,000 households in portions of Hazelwood, Swisshelm Park, and Greenfield.

A release from the PWSA says a water main break on the Duck Hollow Road trail in Hazelwood Friday night caused low or no water pressure in the area.

Though the break was isolated and pressure was restored early Saturday morning, loss of pressure can allow contaminants to enter drinking water.

The PWSA said they have issued the advisory out of an abundance of caution and so they can run tests.

Water buffalos are at the Pittsburgh Fire Bureau Stations at Homestead Street and Commercial Street, as well as Flowers Avenue and Gertrude Street.
