HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Governor Tom Wolf's office has announced some much needed relief for those devastated by last month’s flash flooding.

Wolf says the Small Business Administration is making low interested loans available for those hit hard by flash flooding on June 20 and 21 across Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties.

“Low-interest loans of up to $200,000 are available to homeowners to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate. SBA regulations permit loans up to $40,000 to repair or replace personal property. Businesses and nonprofits can borrow up to $2 million to restore damaged or destroyed buildings, inventory, equipment and assets.” The governor’s office said in a release. “Loan amounts and terms are set by the SBA and are based on each applicant’s financial qualifications.”

Additional information is available at Loan Outreach Centers opening Thursday at 11am.

One is at the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Bridgeville, the other at the Ligonier Township Municipal Complex.

Individuals and businesses unable to visit the center in person can call 1-800-659 2955 or email

Loan applications can also be downloaded here.
