PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The remnants of what used to be Tropical Storm Gordon is coming to Southwestern PA with three to five inches of rain possible through Sunday.

AccuWeather meteorologist Dean DeVore says the heaviest rain is expected Saturday night into Sunday morning and could affect the Pitt-Penn State football game.

”Hopefully after the game is over on Saturday night that it really doesn’t start to pour but I could see some periods of rain or drizzle, some showers [during] the game itself,” said DeVore.

Also temperatures will take a dive with a high only of 70 degrees on Saturday and in the low 60s on Sunday.

With the ground already saturated, DeVore expects flood warnings to start popping up Saturday night and that the heaviest rain will fall on Sunday afternoon.

With that said, DeVore says the game in Cleveland between the Steelers and Browns could be a “deluge”.
