Sen. Casey Says He Will Vote No On Trump Supreme Court Nominee

President Trump will announce his nominee Monday evening

July 09, 2018 - 3:14 pm

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pennsylvania Democratic Senator Bob Casey says he will vote "no" no matter who President Trump selects for the Supreme Court Monday night.

He adds the list of potential nominees is the result of a “corrupt bargain” between the president and far-right organizations like the conservative Heritage Foundation.

“This administration and this Congress [are] trying to create a government which is of the corporate right, for the corporate right and for the corporate right. I can’t abide that.”

One of the finalists, appeals court judge Thomas Hardiman, was praised by Casey more than 10 years ago.

“He’s a good man and I like him but this is really about the process and whether or not the corporate right is going to be in charge of picking the Supreme Court,” said Casey.
