PITTSBURGH (Newsradio1020 KDKA) –  Snow has not been much of a factor this winter with only a total of  9 days of an inch or more since October 1st, also the least since 2008 and the 7th fewest on record.

But Rain will be turning to snow after midnight on Thursday that may cause some problems for the Friday morning commute.

“Right now we're calling for a coating to an inch or two, I think the two is more likely - again to the north and east of the city,” said AccuWeather Meteorologist Bill Degar during the KDKA Radio Morning Show.

“There can be some delays and slick spots to start our Friday,” Degar adds.

The temperatures will hold steady in the low to mid-30’s throughout the weekend.
