PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Someone in Whitehall is cheesing off a lot of people.

American cheese is being discovered on cars, road signs and more places around the community.

David Jordan tells KDKA Radio his car was “cheesed” on Monday.

“My car got cheesed,” he said.

He added that the piece of cheese was frozen to his windshield. There was no damage to his car.

The cheesing happened on Margaret Street off of Provost Road.

Other cars were reportedly vandalized by cheese as well.

While it’s not unknown why the cheese is being used as a prank it could be related to the online cheese challenge.

The trend started in 2006 when someone uploaded a video called “The Cheese Incident”. The video showed people sleeping and then having cheese thrown on their face.

The trend then gained traction again last year when people started throwing cheese slices at toddlers to film their reaction.

So while the act has been done on humans and pets, it’s hard to tell if this is the first car or sign “cheesing”.
