PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Steelers defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt left Sunday night’s game early with a pectoral injury.

This is a key loss, considering everything the second round pick out of Notre Dame in 2014 has achieved this season.

“I believe guys, that he is right now to this point in the season after six games, the defensive MVP. He has been playing so well, and a lot of the turnovers that the Steelers have created, it’s because of the pressure he's put on the quarterback, the way he’s played in the run game,” said Steelers former defensive tackle, Chris Hoke, during an interview with KDKA Radio on Monday.

“Whenever you see a big guy like a Stefon Tuitt, whether it's a pec injury or soft tissue, you have to figure it could be the worst - that it could be a torn pack. I hope and pray that it's not, but it just seems like that's how it typically goes.”

We will hopefully see more details emerge as the Steelers enter their bye in week 7.
