Suspect In Custody After Shooting Leaves Four Injured In Uniontown

One person was shot in Uniontown early Sunday morning.

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) –  A suspect is in custody after four people were injured in a shooting in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, police were called to Pershing Court at 4:06 a.m. for reports of gunfire.

One victim was flown to a West Virginia hospital where he underwent surgery. The condition and identity of the victim are unknown.

A man and two women were also injured with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police questioned a man after 10 a.m. on Sunday and are expected to file charges against him.

“The apprehension of the male we’re charging is the result of the cooperation of the community,” Lt. Kolencik said. “Without the help of the witnesses, we would have never made an arrest. We thank the victims and the witnesses who came forward.”
