PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Topgolf in Bridgeville is officially open for business.

In Topgolf, a person hits a micro-chipped golf ball at one of ten targets to score points, and whoever scores the most points, wins the game.

Director of Operations at Topgolf, Kevin Kraft, joined KDKA Radio on Friday to talk about the new location and how to play the game.

“We’ve leveled the playing field for the seasoned golfers, as well as the beginners who have never picked up a golf club before,” Kraft said.

This way, no one has an advantage.

There are 12 different types of games that are played in groups. Kraft tells KDKA,

“We’re going to assign you to a bay, each will hold up to six players, and you can split the cost of that bay by the hour.”

There are also things to do for people who are waiting for their next turn. Kraft added,

“We have a couple pool tables down in our champion’s lounge, a shuffle board table, a foosball table, cornhole on the rooftop terrace where we’re setting our DJ up tonight.”

Food and refreshments will also be available;

“You can order anything from our chef inspired menu and order some shrimp cocktails from the bar area,” said Kraft.

Reservations are not needed.
