PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) – The Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh is combating domestic violence across the country with technology.

The WC&S unveiled the newest version of their RUSafe app Wednesday in conjunction with Aspirant.

The mobile app was developed with Pittsburgh-based Aspirant to help those struggling with domestic violence by helping them assess their safety, save evidence and find resources.

The app is available nationwide in English, Nepali and Spanish. New features include a secure journal tool, a directory of specialized agencies offering support services and links to available resources.

Aspirant and WC&S are planning a national event for the fall.
