Visit Pittsburgh Announces Upcoming Events For The Rest Of The Year

There is plenty coming to the 'Burgh before 2018 is over

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pittsburgh will soon play host to artists, history lovers, college athletes and thousands of convention visitors.  Visit Pittsburgh announced a long list of special events that will take place over the next few months. 

Here are some highlights:

  • Pittsburgh New Works Festival, Sept. 21 – Nov. 11
  • Pittsburgh Glass Center’s All of the Suddens, Oct. 5 – Jan. 22
  • Doors Open Pittsburgh, Oct. 6-7
  • Carnegie International, 57th Edition, Oct. 13 – Mar. 25
  • Pittsburgh Ghost Tours, through early November
  • Rivers of Steel PGH 101: An Intro Innovation, through September
  • 2018 NCAA Division II Fall Festival, Nov. 25 – Dec. 1 (This event happens every four years and consists of six Division II National Championships occurring simultaneously. More than 1,200 student athletes will participate.

In addition, Pittsburgh will host several conventions, including:

  • American Postal Workers Union, Aug. 20 – 23
  • Annual Conference of the Emergency Nurses Association, Sept. 26 – 29
  • American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Oct. 27 – Nov. 3
  • NeighborWorks America Training Institute, Dec. 3 – 7
