Marilyn Monroe reportedly spent her last day extremely angry and scared, author Charles Casillo is claiming in his new book “Marilyn Monroe: The Private Life of a Public Icon.”

He also talks about shooting her last completed film, 1961’s “The Misfits.”

During filming, Marilyn shot a nude scene with costar Clark Gable, but it was left it on the cutting room floor. The footage was only recently discovered in the hands of the film producer's son. Charles Casillo says the sultry scene was Marilyn’s idea. He adds it was her way of using her famously beautiful figure to get people to like her. This scene would have been the first of its kind for a major American movie. But the director said it was too distracting.

Casillo also calls Marilyn's last days chaotic. She feared her age was destroying her career as a sex symbol. And she had just been fired from the movie “Something’s Got to Give” for being often late or absent from the set.

Marilyn Monroe died in 1962 of an apparent overdose. She was just 36-years-old.
