PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - AccuWeather expects a wintry mix overnight Wednesday and into Thursday.

“It could come in as a mix of some snow and probably sleet, mixing with some rain,” AccuWeather Meteorologist Heather Zehr tells the KDKA Radio Morning Show.

“I think the best chance for any snow or ice would be off to the north and in the laurels.”

The storm will pull away on Thursday, but round two is still upon us.

“We get just a little bit of moisture coming down off of the lake and some rain showers turning to snow showers, as temperatures fall Thursday afternoon,” Zehr explains. “We actually could end up with some icy roads Thursday night as it gets back below the freezing mark.”
