Infamous Pittsburgh Murders.

Did you know that the only American ever arrested and accused of being the notorious ‘Jack the Ripper’ once lived in Pittsburgh!?!

In this episode of the Pittsburgh Oddcast, we explore some of the most unusual and sensational tales of murder that have afflicted our city in the past.

There are tales of a serial killer who struck fear in the hearts of the people of McKee’s Rocks in the 1940s; A Christmas Eve massacre and Bellevue’s “House of Mystery”.

“Memorare Novissima” – Remember the Dead, a saying that was not meant to be taken with a grain of salt.

As sad as some of these tales may be, it is important that we remember these individuals, talk about what happened so that their memory may live on and thus their legacy, for each one of us, living or dead, has a story to tell.
