PITTSBURGH (KDKA News Radio) – Following the comments made this weekend by Leslie Gibson, a Republican candidate to represent the 57th district of Maines House of Representatives, who referred to a student activist from Majority Stoneman Douglas high school student, Emma Gonzalez as a “skin head" and a "lesbian”, Marty Griffin opened his show asking the question, just when did this type of hate speak become okay?

Griffin talked about how this sort of thing is becoming more common in our society and wonders what was the driving force? From social media to President Trump, Marty discussed all possible factors that have led our society to become so filled with hate.

Listen below to hear where Griffin thinks we went wrong and what or who is to blame.
