After the much anticipated Summit between President Trump and North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un, Kim has signed, pledging no more nukes.  President Trump now feels that there is a real chance for peace, denuclearization, and a new relationship with North Korea because he now trusts Kim.

Trump is also open to traveling to North Korea’s capital, Pyongyang, as well as inviting Kim to the White House.

Mike Pintek asked his listeners if they think Kim Jong Un can be trusted.

One listener said, “North Korea has repeatedly committed to denuclearization over the years and they have never followed through and we won’t know if they will without an intrusive international inspections regime.”

Another listener added, “We will have to wait to see if Trump gets anything from his meeting with Kim Jong Un.  The deal doesn’t actually bind Kim to do anything but promise to play nicer.  Nothing was said about verifiable or permanent denuclearization of North Korea.  Kim got everything he wanted.”

Do you think Kim Jong Un will follow through and there will be no more nuclear weapons in North Korea?
