PITTSBURGH - (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Green grass, the smell of freshly blossomed tulips, cool mornings followed by warm afternoons, cherry blossoms bursting with color, sippin' some lemonade on your back porch with your best friend by your side, all signs that mother nature is transitioning from winter to spring.

Except in Pittsburgh...

A week after Pittsburgh received one of it's largest snows this century, (10.9 inches) it looks more like late December than late March in Western PA.

Nowhere to be seen are any signs of Spring. And it doesn't look like that's going to change anytime soon...

In fact, not only does it look to remain colder than normal...it will also be wet...great

About a year ago today, Pittsburgh was actually awash in color...

Remember what green looked like??? Yeah, me neither.

In fact, I looked over both reliable long range climate models (The CFS and European) and they both show below normal temperatures for the foreseeable future and the European shows below normal temps all the way into MAY!...

Now I can dig cold, but this is out of bounds. Pittsburgh is officially 5.9 degrees BELOW normal temperature-wise for the month of March.

So the best advice I can give is just bear down and ride out the cold weather for the next couple of weeks. Because I think, once it warms up, it's going to get hot, I mean real hot, Like the summer of your nightmares hot.

In the meantime, with Easter just a few days away, here's some Lambs playing around...

Stay warm my friends....
