Larry’s Hometown Heroes returns for 2020 to honor ordinary people doing extraordinary things in our region.

This year, Larry will honor our Hometown Heroes in the banquet room at Rivers Casino on October 14.

Each year, five individuals working on behalf of the Pittsburgh community are honored with a $1,000 donation to a charity of their choice. This year’s heroes include:

Jullian Turner - Founder of H.O.O.P.S.  an organization that spreads awareness of street violence, promoting unity to end violence after the loss of his brother.

Sally E. Power - Founder of Treasure House Fashion, supports women in crisis through fashion.

Mike Burch - Speaks with teens about the dangers of drugs after losing his son to an overdose.

Ron Schall -  Honor Flight Pittsburgh Board Member who helps organize trips to Washington, D.C. for veterans who otherwise wouldn't have this opportunity.

Jon Potter - Launched Pittsburgh Good Deeds and lends a helping hand to members of the community that may not have family or friends to help.

Jack Bogut, former KDKA Radio Morning host will also be honored at the event as a Lifetime Achievement Award winner in media.

Hockey Hall of Famer and former Penguins General Manager and Assistant Coach for the 1980 Miracle on Ice U.S. Hockey Team Craig Patrick has been announced as Larry's Heroes Lifetime Achievement Awardee.
